Sales executive raped by colleague

A 24-year-old sales executive was allegedly raped by her colleague in south Delhi’s R K Puram area on Wednesday. The accused has been arrested. The victim works at a private company in Moti Nagar and resides in Palam area with her family. She told police that the accused, Gaurav (26), was a friend. Gaurav, who hails from Bihar, works as a sales executive in the same company. The victim joined the company three months ago and met Gaurav there.
She told police that soon they become friends and began meeting each other outside office as well. On Wednesday, the accused called her to his residence in RK Puram. When she reached Gaurav’s residence, the duo had a heated argument over some issue, that has not been disclosed by the police. Further, he grabbed hold of her and allegedly raped her.
Somehow, she managed to come out of his residence and approached the police station. She narrated the incident to the police and filed a complaint against Gaurav. She was taken to nearby hospital where the reports confirmed sexual assault. ‘A case under the section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and he was arrested from his residence,’ the official said.
