Sailing Regatta will be added in 2018 national games: Rawat

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat inaugurated the tourist sailing  (boating) Jetty at Nainital Yacht Club and a newly constructed rickshaw stand with Vedic chanting on Sunday. The stand is built with <g data-gr-id="10">infrastructure</g> of Rs 3. 50 lakh.

Addressing school children and sailors assembled at DSA ground in Nainital, the chief minister said, “The state tourism will get a boost with the kick-start of sailing Jetty and sailing Regatta. 

Such type of activities should be regularly held in this famous hill station that will help young ones and children sharpen their skill of sailing and train them to win medals in abroad. The state will host the 2018 national games and we will try to include sailing Regatta in the sports list.”
