Though he keeps on coming to Mussoorie, his arrival this time has brought a hope for the tourism of the hilly state. The state tourism is expected to take a boom after Sachin Tendulkar has made it clear that he likes to be here whenever he feels like enjoying holidays.
Sachin reached here on Wednesday along with his wife Anjali and close family friends. His son Arjun and daughter Sara has not accompanied him this time. He is staying in a hotel of his close friend and business partner, Sanjay Narang, a well known hotelier. He is expected to visit Tehri dam, Dhanholtie and some places also.
Some days back, Prince Charles visited Dehradun, Rishikesh and Narendranagar, and now the personal tour of cricket maestro to Uttarakhand is creating a unique environment for tourists to visit this holy land after the catastrophe of high magnitude which paralysed tourism industry. A restaurant-owner told that the visit of master blaster will revive the tourism in the state, and he is regarded by many as next to god.
This is the fifth visit of Tendulkar, who first visited Uttarakhand in 2007. On earlier occasions, he celebrated Christmas and New Year eve in the famous hill station Mussoorie. He is very fond of natural beauty of this hill station, and never forgets to relish on chowmein, sandwich, and cheese in a local restaurant in the busy Mall Road.
After taking retirement from the international cricket, he wants to retreat in the close proximity of nature, far away from the media glare and limelight. He maintained a distance from the local media, but kept waiving hands to his fans who gathered outside to get glimpse of their hero.
