In a bid to pass several pending bills, which could not be discussed due to repeated ruckus in the parliament, the parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday has hinted that the session may be extended.
It was learnt that the BJP parliamentary party MPs in a meeting in the morning were asked by Naidu ‘be prepared’ in case the session is extended. Speaking to the media persons, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said, ‘The opposition has been disrupting the house making it difficult for us to work for the betterment of the people. Also, the government has some key bills to pass and, if needed, the session may be extended.’
‘The government had legislative business which needs to be completed and I am sure that the opposition will co-operate with us,’ he added. The government is concerned about some of the bills, which are pending and want to pass it on a priority basis.
