RS too rises by 19p to 61.15 against $

In an unpredictable movements on Friday, the rupee recovered by 19 paise to close at 61.15 against the dollar following smart rebound in local equities amid late dollar selling by exporters and some banks, breaking straight four session of falling trend.
However, firm dollar overseas and sustained capital outflows capped the rupee rise to some extent, a dealer said. At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, the domestic currency resumed lower at 61.46 a dollar from last close of 61.34 and declined further to a low of 61.62 -level not seen since August 8, 2014.
