Romesh Sharma to be questioned in Bharadwaj case, say sources

Though Delhi police claimed that they have apprehended the key conspirator in Bharadwaj’s murder, but still the investigation is under process to join few broken chain. Recently, Delhi police has issued a notice to Romesh Sharma, a suspected Dawood aide to join the investigation within a week.

According to a source, Nitesh told police during interrogation that Bharadwaj was having links with Sharma as well. ‘Once Bharadwaj has made a property deal that was a disputed land with Sharma with the help of some property dealer,’ the source said.

The source added that Delhi police has sent a notice to Sharma from Hauz Khas police station, informing him that he must join the investigation regarding Bharadwaj’s murder mystery. The notice was issued on Sunday evening. But so far Sharma has not joined the investigation by giving an excuse that he is unwell, said the source.

So far Delhi police is not suspecting any involvement of Sharma in Bharadwaj’s murder but as part of the investigation he has been called to quiz. ‘The motive is to verify the facts alleged by Nitesh in his sustained interrogation before and after arrest,’ the source said.

Romesh Sharma, the alleged frontman of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, also alleged accused of not returning a helicopter he hired for poll campaigning. He remained in Tihar jail for more than a decade.
