Romance of Florals by Ashima Leena at Amazon India Fashion Week,16

Designer duo Ashima-Leena showcased their Spring Summer-2017 collection- ‘Romance of the Florals’   at Amazon India Fashion Week recently,  in the national Capital.

Emulating a garden’s romantic morning ascent, the luxury-pret collection drew inspiration from the natural elements and weaved a narrative of purity with the art of cascading flora – a concept filtered through an ideology of breezy romanticism, and refined by Ashima-Leena’s classically innovative aesthetics. 

According to the designers, nature arouses curiosity, and curiosity in turn elicits the desire to wander. Innocence is met with a lingering sensuality, portraying the complex nature of today’s modern woman – a character deeply-rooted in her femininity and hopelessly excited by the tingling notion of wanderlust and the charming sights it may bring.

The collection is a combination of soft fabric and pastel shades of pale blue and pink, with white lotuses and leafy greens put together on yellow and orange fabrics with hints of sparkle. The duo tried to paint the hues of spring onto the creations using sheer drapes of georgettes and chiffons, and using Swarovski crystals for the bling. Silhouettes ranged from fuss-free separates to the quintessential sari.  '
