In what can possibly hint towards a possible rift in the party, AAP MLA from Rohini Rajesh Garg chose not to share stage with Kejriwal at party’s rally of e-rickshaw drivers at Jantar Mantar. The legislator has been in the news of late, ever since he posted a controversial message on his Facebook page criticising Arvind Kejriwal.
Garg has been at the forefront of e-rickshaw protest when they were banned by High Court. He said he attended the rally along with his supporters and party workers. ‘I was not on the stage but with the public in the crowed. I wanted to meet and interact with e-rickshaw drivers,’ he clarified.
Meanwhile AAP also said that it was not mandatory for the party’s MLAs to attend the rally. ‘But we were not aware about the Garg presence at the rally’, said a party spokesperson.
He further added, the prty will not take any action against the Garg. It has not received any mail or letter from his side so there is no requirement to heat up this issue, he added.
