Robbers shoot teacher dead in failed snatching bid

A-58-year-old school teacher was shot dead by three unidentified bike-borne robbers in Jarcha area of Greater Noida on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Shreepal Tomar (58), a resident of of Jarcha, who was a teacher in a government primary school in Bulandsahar district.
According to police, the incident took place around 2 pm when Shreepal was returning towards his village from NTPC area of Dadari on motorbike. Suddenly, three robbers on a Pulsar bike stopped him at gun point and attempted to snatch his bag and other belongings. When he tried to resist, one of the robbers shot him on his leg.
Police said he died due to over bleeding owing to bullet injuries in his leg.
