Robbers kill guard, loot cash and silver worth lakhs

In yet another case of burglary, four robbers attacked an export company in Sector 57 at 3:30 am on Tuesday and left one guard dead.

According to police, the two guards who were on duty at the time of the incident tried to fight the robbers. However the robbers outnumbered the guards. They then tied the guards with ropes and even strangulated one, when he tried to retaliate.

Vishwajit Srivastav, CO 1st, Noida police said the owner of export company named Mahavir International, Pratap Jain informed the police early morning about the incident.

‘The robbers jumped the boundary wall of the company late night and when the guards countered them, they strangulated one guard named Shivraj Singh and beat up the other guard Ramashankar Tiwari so gravely that he was found in a critical condition in the morning,’ Srivastav said.

‘The robbers have looted Rs 25,000 cash, silver coins that they found in the temple premises of the office and goods worth lakh,’ he added.

The robbers are at large and police have prepared four teams to nab the burglars. The incidents of theft, robbery and abduction are on the rise in Noida.
