Robber nabbed

In yet another incident of robbery took in south-east district of the capital, one of the robbers was nabbed, courtesy alert neighbours who heard the alarm raised by the victim. Rest of the robbers, however, managed to escape.
The incident took place on Thursday morning, when a group of three to four people entered a house in DDA flats of Dakshinpuri area in Amar Colony with an excuse of checking electricity meter. Rani, 28, the victim was alone in the house and her husband, Rajesh, had gone to office.
According to the police, the moment she opened the door, the assailants locked the door from inside. They started looking for cash and other valuables in the house. Somehow, Rani managed to escape and immediately raised an alarm. Soon neighbours rushed out of their houses and caught one of the robbers.
Local police was informed, who took the accused with them and registered a case under appropriate sections against him and his accomplices.
‘The accused has been identified as Jaspal, a resident of Dayalpur. Futher interrogation has been carried out to trace out his accomplices,’ said an official.
