RLY coach attendant held with Rs 11.50L in Rs 2,000 notes

A coach attendant on Allahabad-New Delhi Duronto Express was on Friday caught with Rs 11.50 lakh in new Rs 2,000 banknotes by RPF personnel. Shambhu Singh, 32, who worked as a contractual attendant, was caught at New Delhi Railway Station with Rs 11,94,050 lakh in cash, including Rs 11.50 lakh in new Rs 2,000 bank notes, Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer R S Singh said. Shambhu, a resident of Allahabad, was spotted carrying a bag in a suspicious manner by RPF constable Atar Singh near the gate on platform number 1 around 12.30 pm, he said.
