RK Puram case: Cops rule out foul play behind death of three businessmen

A day after the mysterious death of three businessmen who were found dead inside their parked car at the roadside in south Delhi’s RK Puram, Delhi Police have ruled out any foul play into the incident. However, the post-mortem reported is still awaited.

Twenty four-hour long investigation carried out by a special team of Delhi Police with the help of forensic experts has ruled out any foul play behind the mysterious death.

However, the family members of the deceased have alleged that someone has poisoned them.
On Wednesday afternoon, 30-35 family members staged a demonstration outside the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) in Hauz Khas demanding fair investigation in the case.

BS Jaiswal, DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) ensured them of conducting the investigation from all possible angles.

An investigating official requesting anonymity said: ‘The prima facie circumstances do not point towards the possibility of a criminal conspiracy. It was a sudden death and the poisonous fumes probably carbon monoxide had contaminated the car as the air condition was on. The poisonous fumes must have caused their deaths.’

‘The autopsy reports of all the three deceased are likely to come by either Thursday evening or Friday morning,’ the officer said.

Meanwhile, the family members are being questioned to get a clue on possible personal enmity of the deceased.

The trio- Laxman Singh (32), Balwinder Singh (33), Nishant Dutta (32), were childhood friends and had recently started an event management company. They met at RK Puram to discuss business plans. Few hours later, they were spotted in unconscious state inside their car by one of their brothers.
