Restaurateur has narrow escape after I-phone explodes

A 30-year-old restaurateur had a narrow escape when his brand new i-phone reportedly exploded in the middle of a conversation on Monday night. The victim, Kishan Yadav, alleged that he first went to a service centre to report the damage. When he was turned down, he reported the matter to the police on Tuesday and an FIR was registered.

In his complaint, Yadav mentioned that he was sitting inside his car and talking to a friend over <g data-gr-id="18">phone</g> when he noticed the sparks. He threw the phone out of the window immediately and it exploded.

Yadav, a resident of Wazirabad in Gurgaon Sector 52, had reportedly purchased the phone two days before the incident from a shop at Galleria Market in Gurgaon.

It was the latest model of i-phone, which cost him around Rs 60,000, said a source.
