Repatriate officers to parent cadres, Centre directs civic bodies

The central government in a letter to civic bodies has asked them to repatriate officers who have completed a five-year term to their parent cadre. The notice was sent after it was found that senior officers employed in DMCs are violating service norms to stay in the capital.

‘All such officers or engineers who have already completed their deputation tenure may be repatriated to their parent cadres without further extension so as to make way for young and energetic aspirants,' said the letter signed by A K Das, under-secretary to the ministry of home affairs, government of India.
