Ayushmann Khurrana, whose upcoming film Nautanki Saala features remixed versions of two old Bollywood songs, says there will always be a split audience as far as such numbers are concerned.
Ayushmann said: ‘I love 1970’s songs and retro music... There will always be two kinds of audiences, one who are against remixes and the other who support remixes.’
Nautanki Saala features Dhak dhak from the film Beta and So gaya yeh jahaan from Tezaab. The original songs were hits of their times.
Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, who has produced Nautanki Saala, says remixing does not take anything away from a song and old will always remain gold.
