Raped by father, girl gives birth to boy

In a shocking case of sexual assault, a teenage girl who was raped for months by her father, gave birth to a premature baby boy.
When she contacted the local police for help, she was denied. Later, on Tuesday, the Noida chief judicial magistrate (CJM) asked the police to carry out an investigation in this case.
The 18-year-old was allegedly being raped by her father since July 2011. Her mother was a working lady and her father stayed at home. The victim was unable to attend school in July because she was unwell. That time her father tried to molest her. When she protested, he beat her up and raped her.
The girl had informed her mother about this but she did not take any action and this negligence acted as a positive signal for the father. The girl was raped continuously in her own home till she managed to escape in December 2011. She also informed the police about the matter but they refused to lodge a complaint. Â
The girl went to court and narrated the story to Yogesh, an advocate, who filed the case on her behalf. The case alleges that the victim got pregnant during the six months she was continuously raped by her father. On 18 March the girl gave birth to a seven month old premature baby boy.
The court has now asked the police to do a medical examination of the victim and the child and take suitable action against her father.
