Rajouri Garden police solve case of IPL betting with arrest of two

The Rajouri Garden police of west district solved a case of illegal betting on Saturday. The gang was operating from the area of Rajouri Garden and two persons have been arrested in this case. Keeping in mind the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, police were directed to keep a special watch on the bookies.
The police received secret information that some illegal activities were taking place in house number 106/108 ,first floor, Rajouri Garden. Under the supervision of Eish Sighal ACP, Rajouri Garden station, a team was constituted.
After further analysing the information, it was learnt that Sanjeev Bhatia along with his associate Man Singh had recently taken a flat on rent exclusively for betting purposes.
‘The legal procedure were completed for raiding the house and sub-inspector Ugesh Kumar was directed to take immediate legal action against the bookies’, said a police official.
