Rajendra Nagar murder: Police zero in on 3 suspects

A day after two persons were shot dead in broad daylight by three assailants in central Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar area, the police have zeroed in on three individuals, who are the prime suspects in the case. However, none of them have joined investigation yet, said a senior police official on Friday.

The first two suspects is a father-son duo who belong to the same locality, Inder Puri, where the two deceased persons, Ram Charan (42) and Lakhan Lal (52), resided. The <g data-gr-id="19">father son</g> duo had an alleged business rivalry with Ram and Lakhan, who worked as labour contractors in Rajendra Nagar, Inderpuri and Naraina areas.

The other suspect is a person against whom there is a pending property dispute case in Tiz Hazari court. A separate police team was sent to dig out details about the case. He too was summoned, however, he did not join investigation till Friday night.

“They are all suspects and hence their names cannot be disclosed as of now. I can assure that the case is being investigated from all possible angles,” said Paramaditya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central).
