Rajender Kumar gets additional charge of DSSSB chairman

Delhi government has given Rajender Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, additional charge of chairman of Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) days after some alleged irregularities surfaced in the board.

“The Competent Authority is pleased to order that Rajendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and holding additional charge of Principal Secretary (Services) shall hold the additional charge of the post of Chairman (DSSSB)with immediate effect,” stated an order issued by the Services Department.

In March this year, Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta had met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor  Najeeb Jung demanding that the alleged scam-ridden DSSSB be dissolved.

During the Budget Session, Gupta had alleged the current system and much of the staff of the board were mired in corruption.
