Rains to slow down from today

Heavy downpour in the city brought down temperature much below the normal. The weathermen have predicted reduction in rainfall from Tuesday onwards leading to rise in temperature from Wednesday. However, a second spell of rain is expected next week from 24 to 26 June.
'The city received a record rainfall of 58.5 mm in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday morning. Furthermore, Delhi received another 17.1 mm of rainfall by 5.30 in the evening.
We expect medium to heavy rainfall at some places in the next 24 hours in the city,' said a senior officer at Delhi MeT department.
The maximum rain in the city was recorded in the Palam area which had reached 152.2 mm by Monday evening.
The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 30.3 degree Celsius which was nine points below the normal temperature and minimum temperature was recorded at 23.5 degree Celsius which was also five degrees below normal.
