Railway guard stabbed six times by unidentified robbers

A railway guard was stabbed six times by unidentified robbers near Anand Vihar Railway Station on Saturday night. The victim tried to resist the robbery bid, upon which the assault was launched. He is currently admitted in a hospital. The incident took place on Saturday night at around 10 pm when the victim, identified as Vishram was returning home. He is posted at the Anand Vihar Railway Station as a guard. While returning home, he was attacked by three unknown persons, barely few metres away from the railway station. The unknown men tried to rob him and when he tried to oppose the robbery and raised an alarm, they stabbed him. According to the police, the unidentified accused stabbed him six times and left him in an unconscious state. Vishram was spotted by the locals and was immediately rushed to the nearby Lal Bahadur Shashrti hospital. The doctors referred him to the Railways hospital, where he is being currently treated. According to doctors, his condition is stated to be critical. A case under the sections of attempt to murder and robbery has been registered against unknown persons. Further investigation is underway, said the police.
