Rail Min successful in implementing Budget announcements : Prabhu

 The minister on his twitter timeline posted in a series of tweets on <g data-gr-id="48">Sunday :</g> “Budget has laid out <g data-gr-id="45">clear</g> plan to address <g data-gr-id="47"><g data-gr-id="46">several</g> <g data-gr-id="39">age</g></g><g data-gr-id="39"> old</g> challenges leading to delays, overcrowding among others. All under implementation… <g data-gr-id="42">Budget</g> focus is only common man centric; this immediate action is on customer experience for passengers. Doubling etc takes its own time.”

In another series of tweets Prabhu said, “Rail is <g data-gr-id="37">national</g> asset, and must be run by Govt. It should treated by users in <g data-gr-id="35">same</g> way to make all Indians proud of what they own… Also, encouraging good deeds lead to motivation for better service by others. We must strive to bring in better delivery by all.”

“Rail provides services at various points, many responsible for delivery. Complaints are handled by concerned Board follows to ensure action,” added the minister on twitter.

In May, the ministry said that most of the announcements made in the Railway Budget 2015 <g data-gr-id="49">-16,</g> have already been implemented, ranging from passenger amenities system improvements to infrastructure development. “Immediately after the presentation of the Budget, the Railway Minister directed Railway Board to put in place a sound mechanism to implement the budgetary announcements in a time bound manner. The entire machinery of Indian Railways was geared up to implement the budgetary proposals,” said a statement from the Ministry.

“Under the implementation strategy, comprehensive action plans were formulated on all budget announcements. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu and Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha have been personally monitoring the implementation and undertaking <g data-gr-id="32">periodical</g> review.  

 The monitoring and periodical reviews are also being undertaken at Railway Board level, Zonal Railway level and Railway Division level. To ensure effective and efficient online monitoring, Ministry of Railway also developed a special <g data-gr-id="34">web based</g> software E-Samiksha to keep an eye on implementation,” the statement said.
