Rahul’s ordinance tearing ‘dikhawa’: Nitish

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday termed as ‘dikhawa’ (farce) Rahul Gandhi’s outburst late last year publicly denouncing a controversial central government ordinance to convey his will to fight corruption. When Rahul Gandhi had teared his own government’s ordinance on tainted MPs ‘many people criticised him but I supported him,’ said Kumar, whose government is being supported by the Congress ‘But, later I realised that it was a dikhawa (farce),’ Kumar said. Court verdict on convicted lawmakers, describing it as ‘nonsense’ and saying what ‘our govt has done is wrong’.

While, reacting angrily to Nitish Kumar’s comment on anti-Sikh and Bhagalpur riots and on invitation to Aligarh Muslim University function, Congress on Tuesday said they were akin to ‘testing’ the party’s patience on whose support his government was surviving. ‘Kumar’s allegations against the Congress in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and 1989 Bhagalpur communal strife reflected his ‘frustration’ over expected alliance between Congress and other parties in the state which is ‘teasing him politically’,’ Bihar Congress Vice-president and media-in- charge Prem Chand Mishra said.
