Rahul’s ‘non-political’ Allahabad tour

The Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi who has been in constant limelight for his ‘proactive’ plunge into the government and the party, will be visiting Allahabad on 1 August.
During the afternoon, the Gandhi scion will be the Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital on the occasion of the 113th birth anniversary of his grandmother Kamla Nehru, informed a statement issued by his office, which outlined his itinerary during his one day trip.
There is also a dedication of the Rajiv Wing comprising of a new ICU & Pediatric Oncology Ward, at the Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital in Allahabad.
Reportedly, Uttar Pradesh Congress committee , spokesperson Kishore Varshney said, ‘Rahul Gandhi who is a member of the hospital’s board of trustees, is also likely to take stock of the hospital affairs.’
After this at around 3:30 pm Rahul Gandhi would leave for G B Pant Social Science Institute, in Jhusi, where he is likely to interact with research scholars and community leaders of the institute.
As per reports, Gandhi may also pay a visit to the historic Anand Bhavan, the ancestral house of the Nehru-Gandhi family which has been converted into a museum, the UPCC spokesman added. Congress leaders asserted that this trip being made by Gandhi is most likely going to non-political.
