For the first time reacting in the Uri terror attack, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi slammed the NDA government’s strategy to deal with Pakistan sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The Amethi MP who at present is touring Uttar Pardesh even attacked the BJP-PDP alliance government
“Modiji ‘s short sighted political alliance with PDP opened spaced for terrorism in Kashmir. Our soldiers have died in Kashmir. They have given Supreme sacrifice and I stand by our soldiers. I condemn whatever has been done to them Pakistan. However, the space for that has been created by the politics that NDA has carried out in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Gandhi scion.
Questioning central government’s strategy for Kashmir crisis and increase in terror attacks there, Congress VP said, “Prime Minister goes from one event to another. National security can’t be handled like public meetings.”
Extending his and his party’s support to government for action against terrorism, Gandhi added, “Congress is ready to help in whatever way possible as far our soldiers and Government of India are concern. However, we would like to see a concrete strategy... A long term strategy not event based activity because it is extremely dangerous for the country.”
