‘Queen is Kangana’s best performance so far’

Rajkummar Rao, who will next be seen in Queen with Kangana Ranaut, believes that the National Award winning actress has put her best foot forward in the film.
‘It was great working with Kangana. She is really grounded and she is a really sweet person. In this film, she has done a great job,’ Rajkummar said in an interview on Thursday.
‘I can say that this film is packed with Kangana’s best performance till date,’ he added. Set to release on 7 March, Queen is directed by Vikas Bahl and also stars Lisa Haydon.
The actor had already earned critical acclaim and adulation in a career spanning merely three years. Why the alteration then? His mother likes it that way, he says. Rao is basking in the aftermath of his latest release Shahid, a biopic of lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi. ‘I am overwhelmed by all the praise. I never expected it,’ he tells Forbes India. ‘Shahid was a game-changer for me. It has helped me immensely as a performer.’
