In a move to make the allotment of houses quicker and fairer, Public Works Department (PWD) of Delhi on Sunday has initiated allotment of Delhi Government Pool Residential Accommodation through an Automated System of Allotment (ASA) based on choices for specific houses by the applicants.
‘With a view to provide transparency, speedy allotment, higher occupancy of houses and to enable the applicants to get houses of their choice, PWD decided to introduce the ASA in respect of all types of government houses of Govt. of NCT of Delhi,’ said Arun Baroka, Principal Secretary, PWD.
Further elaborating on the initiative, Baroka said ‘the online system of allotment has become functional (for bidding of houses). Both new applicants as well as old applicants are required to get their Login ID and Password activated at the earliest.
The bidding of houses (Type-IV) would be open from 14th to 28th of July, 2014. The ASA will be initially for Type-IV and thereafter ASA (online bidding) will be followed in other categories in the subsequent months (August 2014 onwards).’
To avail more information on the same, the website of PWD has been updated and a helpline number has been provided.
‘A power point presentation on the bidding system has been provided in the Home Page of official website of PWD, Government of NCT of Delhi www.pwddelhi.com with a link on the home page of website of Delhi Government,’ said Baroka.
