Puneet Kumar Goel takes over as CMD of Delhi Transco Limited

Puneet Kumar Goel, an IAS officer of 1991 batch (AGMU Cadre), has taken over as chairman and managing director of Delhi Transco Limited. He has replaced outgoing chairman and managing director RK Verma. A renewable energy expert, Goel also has rich experience of working in the power sector. He has also served in Government of India in the Ministry of Power. He was secretary (power) Andaman and Nicobar Islands and has also served in Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, where he was in-charge of implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojna for more than two years. In addition to his responsibilities in Delhi Transco Limited, Goel has also been appointed as secretary (power) GNCTD, CMD Delhi Power Company Limited and chairman of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited and Pragati Power Corporation Limited.
