Cheteshwar Pujara made his first significant contribution in the ‘English Summer’ as his attractive unbeaten 90 helped Derbyshire overpower Surrey by eight wickets in a Division Two of County Championships here on Wednesday.
However, his India teammate Varun Aaron’s had a quiet start to his county career for Durham as he bowled only seven overs in the match, getting a wicket in his team’s facile win over Northamptonshire.
After a disappointing county debut against Glamorgan at Cardiff, where he managed only 7 and 0, the Saurashtra batsman made most of the batting friendly conditions at the Oval.
