Public complaints to be resolved within 7 days: CM

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has directed all the heads of departments to dispose off the complaints of people received through the Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS) within seven days of receiving.
Chief Minister Office (CMO), which is the nodal body of PGMS, has asked officials to strictly follow the directions, failing which they would face the heat.
“All heads have been asked to take people’s complaints seriously pertaining to their departments received through PGMS. CMO has directed departments to deal with complaints within seven days of their receiving,” said a senior government official.
The official said that a senior lady official, who is looking after PGMS, has been asked to monitor the complaints’ time limit of the departments. Since Aam Aadmi Party has come to power, complaints pertaining to different issues have gone up swiftly. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is himself monitoring the people’s complaints, is also reviewing the works of governments departments these days.
“Officials will be held responsible if they take complaints lightly,” the official added. Earlier this month, Kejriwal had launched the Anti-Corruption Helpline 1031 and said that corruption in the national Capital has significantly reduced after his party assumed power, pledging to transform the city into one of the top five corruption-free cities in the world.
