Pub brawl: HC grants bail to bouncer, manager

Justice S K Misra granted the anticipatory bail to Sukhvinder Singh, pub manager at the DLF Promenade mall and Deepal Uppal, a bouncer in the pub. The court asked Sukhvinder Singh and Uppal to join the investigation and ordered them to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and surety bond of the same amount. Justice Misra told both of them to not leave the country without the court’s permission. The court took into account that all the people arrested in the case are out on bail. The court on 4 August granted anticipatory bail to Parth Wadia.

Parth Wadia is accused of trying to force his way into the pub with his friends and security personnel after assaulting its staff. On 27 June, various men, including son of a Delhi Congress leader, accompanied by armed bodyguards turned violent when bouncers denied them entry at night into pub. Police registered two cases under charges of attempt to murder and the Arms Act, against the bouncers as well as against the Wadia and his group.
