Protesters lathi-charged by police

The protest by civil services aspirants against CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test) at Mukherjee Nagar turned violent on Wednesday night. Reportedly, protesters were lathi-charged by police after they pelted stones at them. Some of the protesters were also detained by the police and taken to Mukherjee Nagar police station. Meanwhile, the fasting protesters were forcibly taken to Hindu Rao hospital for medical check up. The aspirants continued with their agitation after they were released
later.
