An alleged international prostitution racket, being run from the posh Greater Kailash Part-II area of South-East Delhi, was busted on Monday and seven persons, including three Uzbek women were arrested.
‘Three Uzbek national women, their three customers Mohammed Imran, Sem Ahmed and Sahjad Khan - all residents of walled city area - and one Raju Paswan, working as a carrier, were arrested,’ a senior police official said.
According to police, the three Uzbek women - aged between 21 and 25 years- were living in a rented accommodation in GK-II without valid travel documents.‘The main person behind the racket was one Ajay alias Jaat, a Haryana resident, and was staying in Delhi for past three-four years. He allegedly used to facilitate the visit and stay of foreign national girls in Delhi on tourist visa,’ said Ajay Choudhary, ACP South East District.
He had been operating the international flesh trade in Delhi and the NCR region since the last three years.
Ajay used to arrange clients for the girls and charged between Rs 4,000 and Rs 8,000. He used to charge heavily for belly dancing, weekend parties and travel companions to various destinations like Shimla, Jaipur and Goa. The foreign nationals used to come to India on tourist visa for a period ranging between three to six months, Choudhary said. All the seven accused [three women, one pimp and three customers] have been arrested under various sections of the Immoral Traffic [Prevention] Act, 1956 and the Foreigner’s Act, he said.
