Property dealer shot at by bike-borne assailants

In an yet another suspected road rage incident in the city, a 35-year-old property dealer was shot by a group of unidentified men when his car slightly hit one of them at West Patel Nagar in Delhi, on Thursday.
As narrated by a police official, the victim, Vipin Rajput (35), is a property dealer at Patel Nagar.
Around 9 pm on Thursday, when he was heading for home, the bonnet of his car slightly touched a pedestrian. The pedestrian was with two of his friends, and the incident led to an altercation between the four of them.
Suddenly, one of them pulled out a country-made pistol from his back and shot the victim. The bullet hit his abdomen and the accused fled the scene immediately, said a police official. He further said, a PCR call was made by a passerby and police reached the spot. Vipin was rushed to a nearby hospital and his is said to be stable.
‘Vipin was shifted to the intensive care unit and by Friday afternoon, he was reportedly out of danger,’ said a police official. He further said that soon after the incident, police availed some CCTV footages from a nearby complex and started investigating the issue. Police is also probing whether it was a property dispute or business rivalry. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against all three of them.
