Prominent BJP faces missed at Vijay Goel’s lunch party

The differences in the BJP has came out in the open with prominent faces of Delhi BJP being absent in the ‘Chat Party-cum-Lunch’ organised by the Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel on Wednesday.

‘I was not invited to the party,’ said senior leaders on the  condition of anonymity. Goel had organised a lunch in the Constitution Club on Tuesday in which the much-hyped ‘cuisine of old Delhi’ was served.

In the party, Goel had specially invited BJP’s national president Rajnath Singh, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely and senior BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain.

Even the three mayors of the civic bodies and various office bearers were invited.

But the prominent faces of Delhi BJP- V K Malhotra, Harshvardhan, Vijay Jolly, Arti Mehra, Pravesh Verma, Jagdish Mukhi, were not present in the party.

These leaders refused to comment on the issue, but according to sources the differences within the party was revealed in the lunch.

Reacting to the issue Goel said,  ‘It was an informal lunch for the media in which office bearers of the party were also invited. Nobody should over read into it,’.

He further added that the party is united and there no differences among the cadres.
But another goof up was waiting for Goel on Wednesday.

After announcing the list for state executive the party office sent a separate note to the media to include the names of Pravesh Verma and V K Monga in it.

According to sources the last minute rush to include their names were by the pressure of senior party leaders.

Pravesh Verma, son of former Chief Minister of Delhi Sahib Singh Verma is apparently angry with the party for dropping his name from the post of general secretary.
