Tarun Shienh, better known as the real estate guru after he was honored with the title by Builder Council of India & PHD Chamber of Commerce, is a leading visionary business entrepreneur. He has touched new heights in sectors like Real Estate, Energy, Lifestyle, Hospitality and Infrastructure and is now making a mark in the Health Care Sector.
Premia Group has taken over a running hospital from Saloni Healthcare at Palwal, Haryana.
With a 130-bed facility spread over five acres of land, the hospital is one of its kind in the area. It is a multi-specialty hospital with highly equipped medical facilities in a radius of 60 kms. This is the only hospital that provides healthcare to a population of one lakh from nearly 100 villages, that falls between Faridabad and Mathura. The group has plans to scale up the beds to close to 400.
Tarun Shienh says that the intention behind getting into the healthcare sector is serving the society and bringing the best medical facilities to the doorstep of the needy people. He says, ‘The idea behind Premia Group entering the healthcare sector was to serve the society. We have noticed that there are not too many professional corporate groups in India who work in healthcare. If you really look at the mandate, the first hospital that we have taken over in Palwal, the mandate is that the charity and service to the society has to be there. People who cannot afford medical facilities, we need to serve them better. The idea for picking up the property is why not start serving the society right from Haryana.’
Shienh is optimistic about his venture and says that the group is trying to come up with over 20 such hospitals in the near future. ‘The Group aims at taking the healthcare sector to a new level and giving access to the best medical facilities to the needy at nominal price. So we are dedicated to come up with 20 more such hospitals like this all over India.,’ Shienh adds. He adds that the major focus of the group is UP and Haryana.
He explains the reason for selecting Tier 2 & Tier 2 cities for his projects at initial stages ‘We are mainly focusing on tier 2 and tier 3 cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Rourkee and cities of MP, because it reflects my philosophy to provide healthcare services to those regions where there is dire need of quality healthcare. Also not too many Corporate Groups work here so we can see a lot of opportunity in these states.’
Apart from hospitals, Shienh also has plans to come up with universities and colleges to provide easy access to education for those students who have to migrate for studies to different cities across the country. He is mulling over establishing a university in the North Eastern state of Arunanchal Pradesh. ‘The thought process is to provide a world class capable university that can cater to Indian students requirements and facilitate them to build up their future,’ the Chairman and Managing Directorof the Premia Group adds.
His plans clearly reflect his keenness to serve the society. Speaking about the future of the real sector, the real estate guru is optimistic that the sector will thrive till 2018. ‘Real estate primary markets are going to be great till 2018 because we have a huge demand for homes. The population is huge and it needs to be accommodated and we have to provide them with accommodation. Till 2014, a lot of activity will be happening in the secondary market. It is going to be booming till 2018,’ he adds.
Shienh also has a word of suggestion for the home buyers. He says that any person who is buying a property must look at the background and intention of the developer. ‘Before zeroing in on any property with a real estate developer or agent, make sure you look at the developer, his background and intention and the concept, as it is very important. The concept and quality and vision you are getting into is very important. Just like when you invest in insurance, you look at the long term benefits, so think about the long term benefits in terms of real estate.’
