Prasad to launch EDF on Monday

Carrying forwards the flagship schemes of PM Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch Electronics Development Fund (EDF) on Monday in Mumbai by handing over of the letter of commitment to the first group of Daughter Funds under the EDF, which is a joint project of the Department of Electronics & Information Technology and Canbank Venture Capital Fund Ltd. The EDF policy was launched by Modi during the inauguration of Digital India Week on July 1, 2015 and the Centre had appointed CANBANK Venture Capital Fund Pvt. Ltd.  to house EDF on September 4, 2015.
