Pradhan energises ONGC Foundation Day festivities

Expressing his elation on being part of the roll-out, Pradhan said that he would ensure that the hard work, toil and commitment of ONGCians is realised by the nation as ONGC has added 8.5 lakh crore to the national exchequer over the length of its operations. Praising the spirit of ONGCians, Pradhan remarked that the sense of belongingness even in former employees to the organisation is next only to the armed forces.

The Minister remarked that a corporation of the stature of ONGC should also ensure implementation of the schemes of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Beema Yojna, Atal Pension Scheme, Mudra Scheme and the Sukanya Samriddhi Schemes through its CSR projects so that the benefits reach the lowest strata of the society. This he said will deliver the benefits to the needy and would help in <g data-gr-id="24">integrated</g> growth of the Nation. ONGC CMD Dinesh Kumar Sarraf led the jubilant ceremony on 60th ONGC Day, at company headquarters at Tel Bhavan, Dehradun.

In his congratulatory message to the employees, he exhorted them to continue to improve internal benchmarks and try to exceed global standards. “The manner in which we utilise technology and our approach to capital utilisation will be key determinants in present days,” he said. ONGC will commemorate the Diamond Jubilee year with renewed pledge and demonstrative rededication to strive for ensuring energy security of the nation.

The 60th ONGC Day celebrations were held at all regional centres, offshore and onshore work locations, institutes and plants. Moreover, 60th ONGC Day was observed at Western Onshore Basin, Vadodara. The 60th ONGC day commenced with GGM- HGS, S Panigrahi and other senior  executives of the Basin offering floral tributes at the Martyrs’ column.

Thereafter, the ONGC  flag was hoisted amidst a large gathering of ONGCians as the Basin Choir presented the Dhwaj Geet.  The ONGC pledge was administered in English by Panigrahi, in Gujarati by GGM-HDS V J Pandya and in Hindi by GM- Block Manager III, A K Singh.
