PowerGrid stall bags IITF silver medal

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCL) has been awarded the silver medal along with other PSUs of the Ministry of Power under the ministries and departments pavilion award. The award was given for excellence in display at the 32nd India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan.
The theme of the pavilion was Smart Grid, a confluence of information, communications & electrical/ digital technologies which will facilitate real time monitoring and control of power system, reducing AT&C losses, peak load management/ demand response, integration of renewable energy, power quality management, outage management.
A working model of the smart home and smart city were displayed at the pavilion which explained the practical working of the smart grid and was a major crowd puller during the fair.
The certificates were given by Minister of State for Commerce & Industry D Purandeswari, and Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) CMD Rita Menon at a ceremony at Pragati Maidan.
