‘Power situation improving in Bihar’

‘At present a total of 2,300 MW power is being supplied in the state which will go up to 3,000 MW in 2014 and 4,000 MW in the next year,’ Kumar said while addressing a function after inaugurating a road bridge here, about 50 km from Patna.

Power supply in Bihar was about 1,200 MW in 2012 and as low as around 750 MW in 2005.
Stating that his government was paying special attention to power, Kumar said after the education sector, where 24 per cent of the state’s budget was allocated, it was the power sector where money is being pumped into.
