Power grid sub-station launched in Mundka

Power Minister Satyendar Jain on Saturday inaugurated a 66/11 KV grid sub station in Mundka here, which will help improve power supply in West Delhi. It will help meet the growing electricity demand of numerous residential and commercial establishments in West Delhi and benefit a population of over 2.5 lakh residing in Mundka and its surrounding areas including DSIIDC, PVC Tikri Kalan, Swarn Park, Rajdhani Park, Neelwal and Hiran Kudna. Speaking on the occasion, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited’s CEO Arvind Gujral said: “Constructed at a cost of around Rs 20 crore, the state-of-the-art 66/11 50 MVA grid sub-station is co-located with the existing 400/220KV DTL Grid in the area... The capacity of the grid can be further increased by 25 MVA. With the commissioning of this grid, the installed distribution capacity of the area will increase to 195 MVA, enough to take care of the present and future needs of the area.”
