Poll-bound Delhi govt shuffles babu pack

Before announcing the schedule of Delhi assembly elections, the Union Home Ministry ordered transfer of some bureaucrats on January 1, 2015, while on December 30 a major bureaucratic reshuffling had been carried out.
According to the latest order, Satish Kumar will now be Commissioner (labour). Previously, he was Special Commissioner (transport), the post which would now be occupied by Sanjay Kumar Saxena.
On December 30, over a dozen IAS officers were transferred. The most important officer Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Nandan Sahai, of 1986 batch, has been transferred to the post of Principal Secretary (finance and vigilance).
Ashwini Kumar, who was holding the charge of Secretary (social welfare and women and child development) will now be Secretary (revenue) and Divisional Commissioner. Shakuntala Gamlin, a 1984 batch officer, who was earlier holding the charge of five departments, has been shifted to the post of Principal Secretary (power and industries).
