Politically fuelled rivalry leads to clash

A fight broke out between two groups in Gurgaon’s civil lines area in broad daylight. According to the police, over a dozen men allegedly belonging to a ‘politically-inclined’ group from Jharsa Village attacked four men while they were on their way to civil lines from Rajiv Chowk, Gurgaon.

Sources also revealed that the four men were from another ‘politically-inclined’ group in Gurgaon village.

According to the police, the incident took place around 3.30 pm near the old judicial complex in civil lines—just few meters away from the residences of Deputy Commissioner and Police Commissioner. Sources revealed that all the injured were taken to the civil hospital. “We are investigating the matter and the miscreants will soon be arrested”, said an official. The police have not booked anyone so far in this regard.
