Police use force against pro-quota students in UP during protests

Police used mild force to disperse a group of pro-reservation students near the Vidhan Sabha here when they were going towards chief minister Akhilesh Yadav’s residence demanding implementation of reservation in State Public Service Examination.
Around a half a dozen of the protestors received minor injuries during the lathicharge. Large contingent of Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been deployed near the Vidhan Sabha to prevent any move by the pro-reservation activists who were blocking the main road near the BJP office. Police said force was used against students who were trying to go to the chief minister’s residence.
