Police launch special safety cell for F1 Grand Prix in Noida

Nearly 70,000 spectators are expected to throng to world renowned Budh International Circuit on 24 October. In this respect, they have launched the F1 motor race cell. In this cell, proper plans for smooth traffic and security has been meticulously thought.
Traffic is a major issue during the F1Grand Prix in Greater Noida. Even the broad roads in the city get completely choked. To get rid of this situation and ensure a moving traffic, the system has been divided into has been into 6 zones and 11 sectors . These zones and sectors would be under the control of the 5 upper SPs, five DSPs, 1 traffic SP, 82 traffic police and 212 traffic volunteers, 17 leopards and 14 cranes.
A road map has been designed in which people can take the Delhi-Chilla red light, Kalindi Kunj-DND, Ghaziabad and near NH24 Agra towards Yamuna E-way to reach the venue. There are 6 stands and 15 entry gates whereas four exit ways.
To ensure smooth transport for the spectators from the parking area to the circuit, a parking facility for 19000 cars, 2,000 two-wheelers and 400 buses has been arranged. For VIPs who will reach the venue by helicopters, a helipad facility will be provided within the premises of the circuit.
MP Singh, Traffic SP said that all traffic arrangements has been made properly. He added that JPSI has hired AC buses to bring the spectators from City Centre Metro Station.
For the safety and security, 7 upper SP 14 DSPs, 10 companies of PAC, 4 fire tenders, 10 bomb disposal squad, 5 anti-mines team, 4 ATS commando team, 4 QRT bullet proof jackets and 1 NDRF company will be deployed.
