Police extend Rs 1 crore help

The Delhi police on Monday decided to donate Rs 1 crore for the families of the Uttarakhand flood victims, police commissioner Neeraj Kumar informed. The decision was taken after a meeting of top police officers in the capital. ‘We will be giving Rs1 crore for the families of the Uttarakhand victims from the salaries of police personnel in Delhi,’ Kumar added. ‘The decided amount will be contributed to the Prime Minister Relief Fund.

However, so far it has not been
decided as to how long will it take to collect the
entire amount,’ Delhi police spokesperson Rajan
Bhagat told reporters.
