Delhi Police have claimed to have solved the brutal murder case of an NDMC employee whose head was first smashed with a rock and then separated from his body at Shahbad Dairy area, police said on Saturday.
Three people were arrested from outer Delhi’s Bawana area on Friday for the alleged murder of the 25-year-old NDMC employee later identified as Manjeet. The names of the accused are Nasim Khan (20), Mohammed Samir (19) and Sanjay (19). They have been booked under Section 302 (murder) of IPC, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime).
On December 14, a headless body was found in Shahbad Dairy area. It was identified after two days. According to the police, post-mortem report of Manjeet revealed that he was allegedly murdered on December 12 night. He was addicted to heroin and often went to a secluded place, where his body was later found, with the accused trio to consume heroin. On December 12, Manjeet had an argument with Nasim Khan over his share of heroin. It was ensued by a violent fight and the trio started beating up Manjeet. When he fell on the ground, the three accused allegedly smashed his head with a rock and cut his throat with blades, separating his head from his body. When the three were arrested on Friday, they were going to procure heroin from a spot near their JJ Cluster. They had sold off Manjeet’s phone and spent the money on heroin, Ravindra Yadav added.
