Police constable found murdered inside car

Sandeep Bharadwaj, posted at Supreme Court security unit of Delhi Police, was a resident of outer Delhi’s Kanjhawla area and locals there had last seen him last evening, DCP (Outer) Vikramjit Singh said.

It has also emerged that Bharadwaj was absent from duty for last five days without any prior notice.
According to the police, Bharadwaj’s body was found inside a Maruti SX4 car parked along the Nangal Thakran Road in outer Delhi’s Bawana. Locals saw the body around 7 AM and called up the police control room.

A police team was rushed to the spot and the first thing they saw was blood stains outside and on the body of the car, inside which Bharadwaj’s body was found, lying in a pool of blood. There were blood stains on the car’s trunk too.

“Bharadwaj sustained several stab injuries and other deep wounds, suggesting that he was allegedly thrashed. His body has been sent for a postmortem examination to ascertain the cause and time of death, apart from other vital leads in the probe,” the police official said.

Prima facie, it appears like a case of personal enmity.

The special crime team of district police was also rushed to the spot to collect crucial <g data-gr-id="31">evidences</g>, the official said.
