Police arrest two wanted gangsters from Uttam Nagar

According to the police, the ball was meant to be thrown into Tihar Jail for their associates lodged in it. ‘The arrested duo belonged to the infamous Roshan Kale gang and were wanted for attempts to murder and dacoity,’ Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) said. The accused have been identified as Ali Mohammad and Vijendra.

The police received a tip-off about their plan a trap was laid near Shish Ram Park in Uttam Nagar. A raid was conducted and both of them were apprehended with illicit arms and ammunitions.

‘One loaded improvised 9 mm pistol with five live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Ali Mohammad and one loaded improvised 7.62 mm pistol with two live cartridges and one tennis ball containing 11 surgical blades were recovered from Vijender. The surgical blades were put inside the Tennis ball after cutting it skillfully,’ Yadav added.

During interrogation, they revealed that the duo are members of Roshan Khale gang. The police further added that Ali is attracted to the life style of criminals and enjoys their company. He used to carry loaded weapon to influence and mentor the budding criminals in the area of Uttam Nagar.

‘The recovered weapon and ammunition were reportedly procured by them from one Yogesh of Uttam Nagar, who is wanted in two cases of attempt to murder and rape,’ the senior police official said.

A manhunt has been launched to nab him.
